Education
Dr. Parikh graduated magna cum laude and with Departmental Honors with a degree in Biochemistry from UCLA. He went on to complete his medical degree at UCSD.

Certifications and Awards
After finishing medical school, Dr. Parikh trained in general surgery at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center. He completed a multi-organ abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at Northwestern School of Medicine and another fellowship in hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine.
After serving as a general and hepatobiliary surgeon for seven years, he decided to change to a career in plastic surgery. He completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Certifications and Awards
Dr. Parikh has been board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery since 2012. He is also certified in Cosmetic Laser Certification.

Dr. Parikh has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and given various presentations in his areas of focus, including pancreatic surgery and microsurgical breast reconstruction.
